Anyone can help in translating the wiki, but there's a little problem in the code that sooner or later anyone hits - and ends up with overwriting the german instead of the english text.
There's a simple workaround rule: If you're editing a page, NEVER change the language button - not even in a different browser window.
The wiki remembers your language setting on a per PC base - if you're editing the english page and switch to german in another window to read the original, the editing page will also be pointing to the german page, even if it's still in english.
So far the best way for translations would be to open the german page, click on "Bearbeiten" and copy all.
Paste the contents to a notepad file for storing and click on "Anzeigen" to close the editing page.
Now switch the language to english, click on "Edit page" and copy the contents from the notepad file to the english page.
Save and begin translating ... |

Yeah. I kind of noticed that bug while making the Gameset-creation tutorial ToC, as you've surely seen. That's why we all love the "Revert to previous version" option.
However, it can also be pretty useful. In order to save time in other translations, I just open up the german version, switch to english in another tab, then do my modifications and post them. It magically posts my work in the english version whilst keeping the german version intact. Nifty. |

1. an admin needs to edit into the english version of the wiki: (side bar I think is the place)

X-Force -> Ressourcen
both still missing in eng
2. I created a part of the To-do-list "translations". Enter general pages there
btw: links in your eng profile to your german profile don't work. The wiki "translates" them to the english pages or to page "0". |

Please do not translate the pages for the map-editor and the tile-editor at the moment.
There are several big changes about maps, rooms and tiles planned for the V0.920. Of course that version is a long time away (at least one medium and one major version need to be completed before we could start with that), but there are other pages missing translations.
Better start with pages that won't get so much changes in the future... |

Soory, too late. :-)
I already translated the infos for the tileset editor (was just a small collection of hints) on the seventh, and about 60% of the map editor on the 12th...
But now that I know, I will focus on other parts like X-Script, the game manual itself (just the parts that are already rewritten by LennStar) and other stuff... |
