Heute hab ich mir von der website das RC5 Programm gezogen und es Aktiviert Aber seitdem es luft Friert Xforce fters Fr ca.20 Sekunden ein.Kennt Jemand Anders Auch das problem oder wei Was man dagegen Machen kann.

Greetings
On notebook in my access with windows Vista (samsung R28++) RC5 client (distributed.net) greatly slow down almost all application. Update to latest version (v2.9108.517) or changing settings isn't help. So I simple shutdown it, when going to lauch something resource-consumable...

Was gnfalex gesagt hat. RC5 ist ja ein Wettbewerb bei dem es gilt, einen Schlssel fr eine codierte Nachricht zu finden, und wenn du das Programm laufen lsst, werden verschiedenste Schlssel innerhalb von sekunden ausprobiert. Natrlich wird dann eine Menge Speicherresourcen bentigt.
Am besten RC5 ausschalten wenn du andere Anwendungen, die viel Speicher bentigen geffnet hast. |

Wie schon gesagt ist der RC5-Client ein rechenintensives Programm, aber normalerweise sollte es sich automatisch herunterregeln wenn ein anderes Programm die CPU-Leistung bentigt.
Falls das nicht klappt, gibt es theoretisch drei mgliche Grnde:
1) der PC ist so schwach, dass die Leistungsanforderung selbst im Standby zu wenig sind. Das halte ich fr unwahrscheinlich, solange nicht gerade ein uralter Pentium II benutzt wird.
2) Es gibt noch andere Hintergrundprogramme, die ebenfalls Leistung bentigen und in Summe zuviel sind.
3) RC5 ist falsch konfiguriert oder hat aus anderen Grnden ein Problem, sich bei Start anderer Programme automatisch zu stoppen... |

Idea of dnetc is to use "idle" cycles, periods with low CPU usage. And it will not cause troubles to other programs (at least in default configuration). In Win98SE it always lauches with lowest priority and even Notepad cause to temp. drop keyrate of dnetc.
I had see this problem only in Vista. In WinXP (on same notebook and with same settings) and Win98SE all correct. May be MS change something in priority mechanism...

If You have DualCore, then You can try to change amount of used cores ("Client">"Configure">"3) Perfomance related options">"2) Number of crunchers to run simultaneously", set 1 or 0). It lead to perfomance dropdown for dnetc, but may be all other application may work normally. I didn't try this options. Sorry, that forgot about it.
Or fill "Client">"Configure">"1) General Client Options">"7) "Pause if running"" with most used applications.
