On wich screen can I establish a new base?

When in Geoscape, select the base-tab. In the center-right of this screen is a button called "establish new base". |

Indeed I found it. Thanks..
Maybe that button could be moved to the bottom of the screen. I must have overlooked it like a thousand times |

Don't want to open new thread, so I'll ask here...
How to transfer crafts between hangars? I've build one more hangar with space for 5 crafts. My craft squadron consists from 3 crafts, but the new hangar remains empty, and in info I see, that old hangars are used by this crafts. And I can't dismantle old hangars :( Help. How to fix it? |

no, but transfer of personal is in the to-do-list, so this should be work with crafts too. |

At the moment you can't assign a craft to a spezific hanger.
The only way to empty an hangar is to assign those crafts to another base.
This means you have to build a second base with enough hangar space to hold all crafts that have to be removed from the first base - and since you can't tell the program which Craft is in which hangar this might be all the crafts from the first base.
After the unwanted Hangar is empty you can destroy it and move the crafts back to their original base... |

Well, who cares...
Why are vessels assigned to a hangar anyway? You could also say, there is x hangar space available, each hangar has, for example, space for 10 vessels. So you can demolish a hangar, as long as enough space is available. |

Why is a gun assigned to specific storeroom? Why soldiers sleep in this room and not another? ;)
I think its simply because of the programming. If you dont make it so, I think you need at least one variable (sum) more for each thing stored.?

Yes, that was exactly was I was thinking of.
An integer that stores the totally available hangar space, another one that stores the used space.
So there would be no problem with hangars that couldn't be demolished.
The same could be done with the quarters, the labs and the workshops. |
