First of all I want to congratulate the development team for wasting my evening last night and making me go to bed way too late. I immediately got hooked playing with this game. A real blast from the past.
I don’t know where to send the bug reports so I’ll do it here for now.
1. On 2 occasions the game crashed while in turn based mode both times the interface kept operational but the aliens didn’t feel like ending their turn. I had to alt-tab out and stop this program from the task manager.
2. My interface is still half German (actually less). I suppose this is because of an oversight on my part as I checked all text files and didn’t find anything untranslated.
3. I believe that some of the maps are way too small certainly with the teleport feature.
Other feature requests:
4. In UFO when you shot down a UFO they would generate a map (random?) and then add the crashed UFO to it. I really loved that. I would suggest the following:
- Complementing static maps (needed for some missions) we generate components that can be used to generate a map at random these include but are not limited to farms, buildings, Chrashed UFO’s, Roads, etc. then you can have X-force compose a random site
I apologize already if these things where already noted or dismissed or in the works in the past. I am new here and even though I can read some German it’s quite difficult and time consuming.
I really want to get involved in the mapmaking and mission making efforts. I already looked at the mission editor and it looks like I could handle it without too much trouble.

1. Is an old problem. Hopefully it will be solved in V0.900
3. There will be no teleport feature in V0.900

In the next version it will be possible to add skripts to a gameset, so you will be able to use them for a storyline. I hope, that because of this the people will start to use X-Skript more often ;D.
A tutorial to X-Skript can be found in the online-doku. Only problem, it is only in german for the moment...

Thanks for the swift reply. I’ll take a look at the X-Skript tutorial tonight if I have the time.
I don’t know if my German (and my English) will be good enough too translate the manual but I’ll give it a shot.
Honestly I am happy that the teleport feature will be gone as it’s unbalancing the game play. Teleporting out wounded soldiers makes the game too easy.
And don’t worry about your English. I understand you just fine. |
