I have the same error as the bug submitted in:
http://bugs.xforce-online.de/view.php?id=1958

The problem is that, the solution explained there is in German and, unfortunately, I can't understand it.
I tried several automatic translation sites on web but translations didn't even make any sense.

Could someone please write how I can get over with the bug in English?

I wish I'm not breaking some rules here by asking this.

PS: I know that you guys use Delphi for development but, If you guys would need a Java/C/C++ programmer for the game sometime in the future, I could help. I love the game and would love to contribute to the development.

Unfortunately there is no direct solution - that specific occurence in the linked bug (crash when construction building) should be fixed in the newest 915-Alpha, but we didn't find the original problem.

Somehow and somewhere an illigal character gets added to the info text, and we don't know where and when that happens.

Could you please add your error-txt to the ticket? perhaps it might help us finding the source of the problem.

But at the moment there is no workaround other than loading an older savegame and hoping that the text hasn't been corrupted in that savegame yet...

Unfortunately it would take too much work to change the code to C++, we had discussed that before.
But you could help with simpler tasks in the skripting (XScript is pascal-based, and shouldn't be too difficult to learn for a programmer).

This bug only appears, if part of the Text are invalid, maybeexample charakters that can't be displayed (♫ ∟ ◄ ↔ etc) oder <xyz>s.
