Hi, to start with Id like to thank all the creators of this game.
Its truely amazing and a incredible tribute to the classic xcom games.

The scope of the game is impressive, and I can certainly see a lot of work is going into it.

Anyway...

..my question is;

How do I raise the inteligence of my soldiers?
A lot of the weapons and armour in the default campagn seem to require 100% inteligence.
So it seems a bit useless to research these things I cant use.

Training raise's all the stats, but inteligence raises very slowly :-/
Is there a way to raise just IQ?

Is this just not a feature in the game yet?
Is there some inteligence-boasting item or research later?

I dont know GalWar well, but as i know, these are alien weapons that are "forbidden" to be used by the player. (a human cant wear a disk-type armour etc.) At the moment that can only be achieved by giving the items 100+ intel.

But it is not useless to research them.

In the galactic war most of the alien weapons will be unusable to earth soldiers. And none of the planned exceptions have been entered yet.

No, it's not useless - in fact those researchs are some of the most important ones in the entire gameset.
If you read the results of the basic planning projects carefully they will tell you that the scientists need researched samples of every alien weapon before they can start their own research about better weaponry.

And you will need those hybrid alien/earth weapons to have a chance against the later aliens...


No there isn't one and there won't be.
The intelligence is an old concept to limit access to equipment and in a future version it will be completely replaced by something we call classifications.
Those classifications will define which unit can use which equipment and solve many problems (like mixed weaponry on different races) currently in the game.

I've researched most of them already. I was wondering if there is any point in keeping them after the research is done? Or should I just recycle them?

In some cases recycling is vital to get the components neccessary for constructing your own weapons.
In the other cases you can recycle them to alphatron...

Will we be able to sale alphatron in future versions? I like the backstory/concept about it, but it seems there should be some demand for it from others. (even at a low exchange rate).

I don't think that we will include a direct sale for Alphatron (although some gameset creators might do this with scripts), you'll have to build devices from it and sell those.
But you will be able to create and sell a lot of things in later (much later) versions of the galwar.

Very easy: make a "alphatron bag" in the editor which needs 100 alphatron, give it a price and sell it.

I have something similar in Dark Age, there you make "foodstuff" from alphatron and "trade" it with the people around for materials to build your weapons from. (In Dark Age the world is half destroyed)
